Great deal on the bass, for those who took advantage of it. I was toying with the idea and called them on Monday. I asked how many they had and was told that they were not allowed to disclose quantities. The gentleman then said that they had a "couple of handfuls", which I took to mean between 10 and 20 (2 sets of 5? 2 sets of 10?). I am hoping that they stay where they are and do not move to CA. They will have to charge sales tax and will lose a bunch of business, at least from me. Also, their experienced reps are pretty flexible with discounts, if you speak with the right ones. I'd have to look more closely at Samash.com (which I believe is in Florida) if MF moves. Congrats to all of the new bass owners. Tom

They already lost my business a few years ago on a minor screw-up that was compounded by a less than honest customer service rep. I promised to never purchase from them again.





Fortunately, my wife made no such promise. I hope she lets me use her new midnight blue Ric.

Great, but at that Sam Ash store, they'll charge you sales tax if you buy anything..... SamAsh.com (the website) won't. And I believe that the website business is headquartered in Florida (where a lot of your neighbors hang out in the Winter). I have had only very positive and friendly transactions with Musicians Friend and hope that they stay where they are. If it ain't fixed, don't break it. Enjoy the new bass. Tom

Yes, the Samash.com website business is in Florida. Quite often they have people show up, only to be quite disappointed to find it's just a warehouse and customers (naturally) aren't allowed in!
