Aw, that's cool, Mitch. This must be the season for white SGs, with you, John B, and me very soon all getting one. 8) I love 'em. My first good guitar was an SG.

I've got one too!

Mine is one of the white SG '60's Tribute guitars. I don't have a good pictire of it but I use it as a back up at some gigs. If You click to enlarge the picture you can see it on the guitar stand right next to me (just as we were getting shut down by the Police in Huntington Beach last Friday).

No guitars were harmed :)

Mine has been a fun project. With the benefit of Paul W's guidance and help, I've converted an Epiphone SG Custom to look like a '61 Gibson with Gibson innards, long gold tailpiece, etc. Guess I shoulda been taking pictures ...

Nice Kira! Mine started out as a brown Faded SG carcass. Jeff did his thang and now it looks like a '64 SG Special and ROCKS. I'll have to post some pics later. The GFS pickups are surprisingly good.

Thanks, guys! It's been a huge lot of work. The re-sculpting and binding and painting are done, and right now it's ready for new frets. Paul has been great to let me learn by doing in his shop. I'll post some pics soon. 8)

I finally finished and am pretty happy with how it turned out:

I'm going to look for an engraved cover for the tailpiece, and I'll change out the tuners for vintage style. Stock pickups are in there now, but if I'm not happy with the sound after a while I'll look for some spiffy upgrades.

Paul nailed the color I wanted, and his advice throughout was highly valued by yours truly.

Nice Custom, Kira! 8) Now, you just need a blue stripe down it to match the boat in the background.
