Zildjian Cymbal Indentification anyone?

Post by marc61 »

I picked up what amounts to a practice kit for my son yesterday. Anyway, the guy threw in a couple of Cymbals, and I think this 14" Zildjian may be a vintage one. Any help identifying appreciated.

That looks like a 240V export model. How does it sound?

Swell, it's not bad enough the bass players have taken over this section, but now they are asking questions for their drummers

Looks to likely be from the 1960s.

See this link for a timeline: http://www.hidehitters.com/cymbals/Zild ... eline.html

Hope that helps!

Yup I think you got it. It's a 14" hi hat bottom from the 60s

Definitely a high hat. You can see the wear around the inner edge. I'd say it's a New Beat.

Well, it's on Ebay now...if it doesn't sell for enough, I'd say it's a Dead Beat
