Neck width on a mid 1960's 360/12 vs. newer models?

Post by Tumbleweed »

I would like to see how the neck width at the nut of a mid 1960's 360/12 compares with some newer models like the Carl Wilson 12-string and the Roger McGuinn Limited Edition (370/12RM)
I played a McGuinn and a CW and they both seemed too narrow for me.
NOTE: measurement on the 370/12RM at the nut - the outside edge of the low E string was .150"
from the edge of the fretboard (way too far over for this skinny neck - about 1.625")
Are all mid. 1960's 360/12's 1.625" wide?
