Just wanted to report that I saw Death Cab for Cutie here in Memphis last night, and (RickResource member) Chris Walla's Ric's were sounding gooooood. He played a Gretsch Duo Jet some, too, which was also awesome. Looked like he was mostly playing that red 360 with the Seymour Duncans, and it sounded great. He pulled out a Mapleglo 330 and a Mapleglo 660/12 as well.
Great show from a great band, and a great (slightly overdriven) Rickenbacker sound.

Re: Death Cab
Cool,Kevin! I really like this band, one of the most interesting rhythm sections in any current band i know. As a former Memphibian,i'm interested in what venue you saw them?
Re: Death Cab
They played the Mud Island Amphitheatre. It was a great venue, though the first row of seats was about ten feet away from the band, which Ben Gibbard expressed his displeasure about. The sound was... decent. A little too much bass, but my wife and I were sitting pretty close so I think a sub may have been pointed at us.
