325c64 (or not) sold on ebay for $1,700

Post by RickHofner »

I don't think that this is a 325c64, and the photos aren't great, but what a great price for a 325. It's probably a v63. what do y'all think?

The knob placement looks off as does the headstock shape for it to be a c64.

It's a v63 - The SN C58497 dates it to March 93 - well before the c series.

...but directly after the run of Lennon signature models. The Lennon signature models (325, at least) were supposed to be more accurate to Lennon's DB122 than the V63's (but not as accurate as a C64), with a small headstock, and slot-head screws for the pickups and ran from mid 1989-early 1993. I sometimes wonder if any 325V63's were made DURING the run of JL's...

Big headstock on those pics. The V63 did have a smaller headstock near the end of it's production though, close to the c series being announced.
