slots in Bowtie Bridge

Hi all,
I am comlete newbie at this forum, so please apologize for my bad english and maybe some stupid questions!
I plan to modify my 325V64 with a Bibsby Vibrato and a Bowtie Bridge. How deep doi habe to file the slots for the strings in the bridge ?

You likely don't even have to file them, try it first without, string tension might be enough

Welcome, Peter!

If you do find you need to cut slots, make them about half the thickness of the strings deep. You may actually do fine making the slots small notches, just enough to hold the strings in place, depending on whether you bend strings and how far you bend them.

I have a bowtie on my V59 with no slots at all, and the strings stay put just fine for me.
All I wanna do is rock!
