Don't be fooled by the misinformation... these apparently have 2 P-90's. Me like!

If you scroll through the pics, every other one has P90s.

The only thing worse than an Epi headstock on a Les Paul is that bolt on neck.

Ouch!
I have to say, I have had a '96 Epi LP Special II since I bought it almost new back then, and for the $, it's great. Of course, I added Gibson P94's and a Bigsby B5, but y'know how that is...

I think I was sleepy, didn't mean to be so harsh! I love the Epiphone headstock on casinos, I guess the LP/SG one has always looked off to me. I mean Squier uses a Fender shaped headstock! Why can't Epi use a Gibson headstock and just change the name?

 no worries! Hmmm... never bothered me, dunno why. I guess cause I have never been really into Gibsons in a big way. Odd that I like Epis so much more. Those dang Beatles!

I just went to the GC down the street and played one. I didn't like the satin-y finish. Not sure what I expected out of a $129 Chinese guitar! Ah well. I think I have enough guitars anyway!

Bolt on neck Epi's are horrible generally. I have a couple of set neck Epi's and they are actually great guitars.

Yeah, it seems like the Peerless ones from Korea in the late 90's are the best.

I do not like bolt-on Epiphones at all. They feel cheap to me and really pushing the knock-off that it's trying to be.

Set-neck Epi's are nice and depending on what type of guitar it is, you can really make a fine guitar out of it.

You'd laugh hard at me, Jdog. I haven't bought any new guitars since June 2010!
