Sounds like my two buyers on the '68 I had on ebay. I even had a second chance offer to buy it a couple of days later...

It happens all the time in the Fender Forum classifieds. I almost fell victim to it when I was selling a Genz Benz cabinet a while back. I got suspicious when the shipping instructions started getting complicated and backed out of the deal. I'm glad I trusted my suspicions. I later learned how the scam worked and now insist on Paypal for all foreign sales.
