Early '70s 4001 Bridge Pickup Question

Here is a photo of a '60s 4000 with your favorite surround, Ron, but this one has no string cutouts.

The screw that is mostly removed is one of the two that secures the bobbin to the mounting plate, so no issues with damaging the coil; it is the pole pieces you do not want to mess with.

Not strictly so, yes the pole pieces can damage the coil, but mostly its the outer two as these are under tension from the wire and it goes around them, the centre two poles and the mounting screws all can touch the coil as they all go inside the loop.

I've had a message from Bob and all's well at a whopping 9K, that's one nice pup.

Not trusting my own knowledge of pickups and questionable multimeter, I took the pickup to Mike Lull. He said that it read 7.15k and it was good, in his opinion. I had him write the reading on the bottom plate. I will admit my ignorance with pickups, so please tell me if 7.15k still makes for a good pickup.
