I've had the same problems with my pics, and this one doesn't get old, that's a really nice flock of Ricks !!!

Ummm .... the one on the left looks like it's been bad ***'d !!!

The loss of resolution is caused by how Jpeg compression works to reduce the image, in the end you're actually "dumping" pixels from the original that shows as a poorer image when reduced.

Thanks, Jim, all is now clear.

Yes, the one on the left is my first Ric, a '77 I received in trade for a guitar I didn't like. It's been bad assed, brass nutted, fretboard stripped, dinged, chipped, and otherwise "relic-ed" by who knows how many previous owners. It has a nice slim neck, though; every time I see Ted S. work his miracles I get big ideas about this bass, but for now it sits in it's case of many stickers.

while the Jetglo is rarer than FG, I'll take a beautifully figured, slightly yellowing, checkerboard, full width MOP, split tail FG anyday!

just like Jeff's

Here is a pic of my V63 and the famous "nekkid" Ampeg V63. Sorry about the ****** quality.

I love my V63, but would love it a bit more if it were black. Yup, it's a color thing!

So I take it you can't remote host images here?

Jared,
Ampeg B15 ?
I've considered getting one, I love the tones from my B-25 which is built on same design, how do you like the B-15 with your Rick's ??

Jim-

That's Peter's B-15.

Here's my Ampegs...

I actually enjoy my SB-12 thru a MESA cab better than the B-15 thru its ported JBL E140 cab. The JBL gives more of a 'ring' to the hi-gain p'ups but the ported cab does not do justice to a tight bottom. The EDEN cab w/2x10 or Aguilar 112 each have their own tone-just depends what I'm after. I do have a B-25 head but its running 7027's vs the 6L6's of the B-15.

Similar but different.

IMHO that is...

Thanks Jared, I appreciate the input, I love my B-25, but I've had a hankering for a B-15 for a while, I'm currently looking at one that has a 2x15 cabinet below it rather than the 1x15 you see in most.

That is a B-18, fellas. It's the B-15's bigger brother. She is a single 18" combo. Must have spent some time in a barn, because there were feathers in it when I got it.

So, I gather I don't have any takers on the V63 swap idea?

A refin is just plain out, as I would be losing my butt on it. I have a '76 4001 in Mapleglo that I am wanting to turn into a Jetglo, also.

I have owned at least two Jetglo's over the years, but have always sold them. I have always regretted it, too!

My '76 has pickups from a man with an very Italian name (who shall not be mentioned here) currently installed. I have the original neck pickup, a 4003 unit for the bridge and the non-working original brigde pickup. I shall be restoring the 4001 to original soon, and would be keen on trading it for a better color.

All the more reason for me to get Shaun's Jetglo 4000, then we can swap, this way you get all Jetglo, and I get all Firerglo ...
