Major Musical Joint Venture!

Post by jps »

04/01/2012

Two of the most venerated names in bolt neck electric instruments announce a collaborative project to produce a series of guitars and basses that combine features of both company’s most popular instruments, something for the average musician, a series that all can reach down to and grab!

The name of the joint venture is yet to be determined, however, the name of the series has been finalized, a name that indicates the quality and position these instruments will take in the pantheon of instruments that have been produced by these two great companies. These instruments will surely be recognized for the kind of quality one has always expected from them but has never been attained up till now, utilizing all the capabilities and resources available from these two venerable musical instrument companies.

The SUB-Standard Series™ of instruments will be available only April 1st. Be the first guitarist or bassist in your town to own a SUB-Standard™ musical instrument!!!

Jeff you are always on the cutting edge of new developments in the guitar scene. Have they decided whether it will be offshore as yet? Also, I've heard that the Gibners will only be in the relic finish.

SUB-Standard™ instruments might come in kit form, like the old Astro guitars but of far lower quality...
Production has not yet been figured out, and since the only day per year they are to be available has past the new venture has time to find the lowest common denominator of world people that can be trained, well enough, anyway, to create these Everyman guitars. A name for the company that is strongly being considered is FenderBenderMan given that a major content of these instruments will be steel, rubber and glass, with some magnets and wire thrown into the fray as it might be expected that they will have to produce some form of music that people could actually understand, let alone, like. Under consideration is whether these new guitars and basses will have a radio built in, possibly by Philco, that will provide music lessons from the cream of the thrash who teach at big box music stores. Details to come, yet.
