Loads of stuff on the last couple of Fridays about the Punk period on BBC4 in the UK. Last part this week of a great series.
Last week they also repeated this 1979 Arena portrait of Poly - loads of great footage of the band, bassman Paul Dean with his Azureglo 4001.
You can see a slightly dog-eared version on You Tube -

or a lovely clear one in the UK with the BBC iPlayer -

The series is called 'Punk Britannia'...will probably show up on YT in time. The was a Punk At The BBC on last week - nearly every band was playing a 4001!

I noticed the amount of Ric basses throughout the entire series of punk Britannia/ Punk at The BBc too. Were they giving them away back then? Maybe all those prog-rockers were either selling their gear and going Fender or else cutting their hair and going Punk?spongebob wrote:...Punk At The BBC on last week - nearly every band was playing a 4001!
