This cat can sure play! Nice 4001 C64 MOD, too. He has many more on Youtube as well. FYI

MOD = Modern as in "reissue"?

He says it is a MOD because it is a 4001C64 with pickups from a 4001V63. He also said he got it for the equivelant of $1500USD.

Hmm. OK, but they should have the same pickups with/without the .0047 cap and maybe different bridge pickup surround or tailpiece. Don't think that's much of a "MOD."

MOD means modified. The bass was bought modded with V63 pickups and a 7 screw non gap tailpiece.

The guy is very good, and plays Macca's Beatle parts extremely well. I'm not going to say he's better than Francesco, he just plays differently.

IMO, credit HAS to be given to players who actually take the time to learn bass parts note-for-note from the recordings. THEN they can move on, add their own thing into it, and use what they have learned for their own original thing.
How many times have you seen a bass player hack up a bass part, no doubt due to laziness or even ego as in they don't have to do any homework to be a good player?

Due to great camera work the 4001 C64 MOD videos are nice for a tutorial. I like the playing of both Francesco and the C64 player.
