Tone King Imperial

Post by wmthor »

Has anyone played through a Tone King Imperial amp? A couple of friends rave about theirs, but I haven't had a chance to A/B one with either my Silver Faced Deluxe Reverb and/or my Victoria Victoriette.

Very similar to a Victoria. Great blues amp. Very thick, warm tones. A lot of clean headroom with a very smooth break up at much higher volume. Excellent single coil amp.

Personally, I preferred the Victoria in that price range.

Well, I sold the the SFDR and ordered a TK Imperial. A friend has been wanting my SFDR for about three or four years, so I decided to let him have it.
