Goblin
So my buddy picked up a CD by the 60s/70s Italian rock band called Goblin. If anyone is into clasic Italian horror like Dawn of the Dead, you know who they are.
The photo on the back of the CD showed him playing a Rick. Kind of cool.

here's one shot of him and his bass:

Re: Goblin
Never heard of these guys before I saw the above video on a blog just now... they seem still to exist, with Ric bass and all:

'Suspiria' ...what a great/awful movie
Glad to hear there might have been a Rickenbacker connection...
Re: Goblin
Some great music by this band; here is some nice (probably not a Rick) fretless playing:
Re: Goblin
Cool stuff in that Casa Del Jazz concert. Very Squiresque bass work, which I'm always a fan of.

Re: Goblin
the band is fragmented now. there are two goblins. one in ontario, canada with the keyboard player who immigrated there, and some members have a version back in the old country. there are battles going on.
Re: Goblin
I guess that would explain why the band in the newer video is called 'Goblin Rebirth.' I take it Goblin Rebirth is the majority of the original members in Italy...
