Did any 325c58's have factory Bigsbys?

Post by sloop_john_b »

I came across a somewhat curious early 325c58. I was wondering if any of them happened to leave the factory with a Bigsby?

Hi,
I am not complete shure, but i dont think so, because the intention was to produce a 325 original from 1958, like the one that John bought in Hamburg. An they installed the Unlucky Vibrola because it was the standard at this time.

I know, just wondering if any other anomalous early examples have turned up. I'm *pretty* sure the one I found has a factory Bigsby.

Huh. It's certainly possible as I have heard there were maybe even Lennon parts stockpiled/in production. Not to mention leftover Bigsbys from the v59s.

Got pics?

I think it's this one (not 100% on that but it seems to be): http://www.rickresource.com/register/vi ... lebrity%3D

My friend just bought it from the original owner who almost never played it and kept all the original parts - oven knobs and bridge - safely tucked away in the case. No mention of any Kauffman.

It's hard to tell but it looks like there are some filled holes on the end.

Hi,
I think John Halls statement is final, and he is the one who has the first class information!
