Kay used checkered binding on it's high-end models in late '50s/ early '60s. Here's a Silvertone by Kay model that has CB and also a very early-looking "Ac'cent by Paul" vibola unit that caught my eye:

I've seen the "music notes" Ac'cent on F-bodied Ricks of this era, but usually with the "Ac'cent by Paul" logo on a badge, not as a direct engraving on the piece itself. I suppose it could be aftermarket for this guitar, but it would still be a rarity.
