Nice amp and good price! It looks very similar to my early 80's MTI made SVT. In fact, the only difference I can tell is the board inside and the absense of the plaque on mine. Oh, and mine has all the knobs!..haha.
I had a cabinet custom made that may work well for you also? It is the same exact thing as the 8x10 cabs, but it has 4 10's and 1 15 in it. I can get you the name of the guy who made it as he does that sort of thing and is very reasonable and good to deal with? he's in the Portland Oregon area. Or you could find someone locally to build you one, or also just buy something new or used. The stock 8x10 SVT cab is a nice one too.

Jeeze, I've always made it a point not to use gear that could crush me.

It is amazing what some folks consider to be excellent condition! Scraches, dirty switches, missing knobs, etc. Come on now.

Congrats on the amp, now you need a 2-15 cabinet to go with it. I have a nice Sunn thats needs to go under that thing!

Hey Bob, I can probably see OVER that cab!! haha!!
That thing is HUGE!!

It looks like I MIGHT have a line on a '70's Ampeg SVT 810....not too bad a shape either....I'll know by next weekend...I know they're huge, but the price is 'right'..... Image

Jeff, what would be the 'minimum' sized cab I could use for a medium sized venue and still have good clarity ? ....I know there's no need to crank this badboy in a church setting

The minimum would be my Sunn cabinet! Image Probably even a stout 2-10 would work as most of them these days should easily handle the SVT's output.

BTW, my Sunn is probably half the weight of a 810 SVT cab, and it has Eminence Delta 15s in it making it a 4 Ohm cab that can handle at least 600 watts rms. Should sound great with the SVT head.
