Woo-Hoo! First paying gig in nearly 25 years!!
Well, it's been a long time coming but our band just got it's first gig!! And we're getting paid!!! It will be the first time I'm playing out in nearly 25 years!! No, I wasn't in a coma for 24 years, I just put music on the back burner and got married, had a few kids, and solidified my career.
Where? Lakeside Pub Wayne, NJ
When? May 11, 2013 2130 till ????
Band name Unturned Stone. We play rock and roll from Zeppelin & Sabbath to Audioslave, Alice n Chains, Soundgarden, and Metallica.
Stoked is an understatement!!

Cool Sepp. I'd love to be in a band playing that kind of music. I like what we're doing, but the heavier stuff really does it for me. Post some pics of the gig, and maybe a sound file. What axes will you be swinging?

Oh ****! Some of you guys are going to try and attend? Now the pressure is really on!!
Ah, what axes to bring, that is a question I've been pondering myself. Definitely my 2011 4003 (drop D tuned) for a large chunk of the songs that are in D. I'm seriously toying with bringing the 4002 but I've never been to the venue so I'm not sure what to expect. I've been using the Shadow a lot at practice and I have her dialed in really well. Then there is the 4004, which fits in so well. The only issue with that is volume. She is so much louder than my other basses, I fear I'd be screwing with levels too much.
There is no front end at this venue, we have to bring our own and I seriously doubt any of our amps will be going through the board.
Thanks for the well wishes! OK, I'm starting to freak out now a little!!

If forumites are attending, you really better play the 4002 some! Not to worry, because in that situation, you'll be guaranteed to have extra eyes on it while you run to the john!

Hey Sepp -- have a GREAT show!!!
I hope you skate a clean program, and the tech gremlins are held at bay.
RAWK!

Watch those teeth, Marlin. I'm not sure we've properly sedated the beast . . .
