456/12 worth?

Post by djshannon54 »

Hello Folks,

I am looking for some help.

I bought this second hand guitar (456/12, red) in the early 80's. The serial number reflects that it was made in November 1967. This hasn't been played since I bought it. It may be time to part ways with this. Can anyone give me any background on this...like price. When I Google this guitar I find it is rare but they don't seem to sell that often at all.

Thanks for your help!

Condition would be a key element in determining market value. Also you said yours is "red." Is it a burst red, which in RIC lingo is Fireglo, or is it a uniform trans red, which would be called Burgundy if original finish? The Burgundy would likely be the rarer of the two finishes for this 1967 model.

Good luck!
