Re: Tuners
The standard tuners for your regular 360 model are the Schallers

I understand the C63 utilizes the Vintage ones

Re: Tuners
Easy question, easy answer. Thanks Rich!
I've been working my way through the Beatles "A Hard Day's Night" tab book, and my C63 absolutely sings.
What did you think of the photos?

Your C63-12 is sweet looking, Robert.
(They take very nice pictures at Olivia's Vintage).

I like the classic dark-edged Fireglo finish, where that dark shade contrasts nicely with the Double Binding. The close up photos of the Toasters are to die-for !!!
And the fretboard wood-shading is real nice. Looks like you scored a winner.
You should save those photos in you own file before they are gone from E-Bay, as Olivia's has some real professional photographers that do such nice photo work.

Re: Tuners
To tell you the truth, that's what sold me the guitar, Rich! I've already saved those photos on my laptop. I find myself using the bridge pickup more often than not, and I took Paul's recommendation to have my tech remove the cap. What a world of difference! I like the C63 through the Top Boost channel of my AC15 without any pedals. The sound is quite simply sublime!
Re: Tuners
Robert, congrats on the C63! If I hadn't gotten the great deal on my V64, I probably would've gotten my own C63. Whenever I go to SoCal, and I see Steve Forsgren, I always play his winner of a C63.
Have you tried using the C63 and a Janglebox through the Vox, just for fun?

Re: Tuners
Jake,
Thanks so much for the congratulations. I understand you've played many many Ric 12-strings, and, if the C63 satisfies your fastidious ear, then it's good enough for mine.
I don't use my JangleBox much with the Vox at all, as I prefer the natural sound of the amp, which creates its own compression and treble boost. Also, when I tried the two in tandem, I got some unruly feedback (not sure what the kink in the system was). I still love what the JB2 does with my Fender amp, though.
To be honest, I never knew much Beatles material until I got the C63. Now I'm making my way through "A Hard Day's Night," and I'll be getting my tab transcription of "Help!" later this week. It's hard to describe, but it's almost like a whole new world of music has been opened up for me. Thanks to you and Paul for your enthusiasm. I never would have made the purchase without you.
