Are you using the Elixir strings in the video you made of your Walnutburst? That was a great tone.geofio wrote:Wow!!! big congrats jack, it is a stunning bass, and they sound fantastic too!!! i just love the tone from mine, try Elixir strings on your bass they sound amazing!!! cheers George
here is the sister bass
Understood about the Rotosounds. The Elixir's are coated so I would expect them to last longer. I have been quite happy using Circle K strings lately, but I might pick up a set of Elixirs to try. Thanks, geofio wrote:Hi jack, no that was rotosounds at that time, first time i have tried Elixir, the tone just seems to stay there, with rotos you get a great tone for a week lol!!!
Do you like the Nickel or the Stainless??geofio wrote:i have always used rotos jack, i am now switched to Elixir.

That's if you leave it sitting in the case for most of the week...johnallg wrote:A whole week? You're lucky.geofio wrote:Hi jack, no that was rotosounds at that time, first time i have tried Elixir, the tone just seems to stay there, with rotos you get a great tone for a week lol!!!
They are great sounding strings fresh, but for me after about 3-4 hours time on them they are getting pretty dull sounding.geofio wrote:LOL are they that bad!!!! they need to do something to make those strings last longer not worth how much they cost.
