True, I think they are having some fun again.
Oh yeah, and let's see if we can a little more in 2013... 8)

Dear Rickenbacker,

Do the recent special run of 330s Tobacco burst models have slightly different wiring on the 5th control to normal?

I ask as mine seems to act more like a balance control in the middle pickup selector position rather than seemingly allowing me to blend in the amount of neck pickup i require as on my other rics? ...When I say a 'balance' control, I mean between the amount of neck or bridge pickup coming through in the dual pickup selection.

just to explain further, if I turn the 5th control all the way in one direction, I get the same sound whether i select between just the bridge or the dual pickups configuration... If I turn the 5th knob all the way the other way, i get the same sound whether I toggle between just the neck or dual positions... So, when im in the dual position, I have to set the 5th knob roughtly half way to seemingly get a mix of the bridge and neck pickups and not just one or the other.

This seems really different to how this control has behaved on all my other Rics?

Any advice / clarification would be most gratefully appreciated

Thank you

I recently acquired my 330S from Wildwood, and the neck is amazing......it fits me perfectly and its fretboard woodgrain is stunning. How is its X bracing different from my 330 BBR?

Ben doesn't hang out here anymore. He got tired of some of the baloney that happens here sometimes and I can't say that I blame him.

Better to email him directly or catch up on Facebook.

Beautiful guitar, especially the fingerboard. The neck on mine seems perfect for me, as well, and the pups are really well balanced. I'm definitely glad I found one and sprung for it.
