I wouldn't bid on the 64. That one looks way too fishy. No pic, zero feedback, and Very Good Condition is the only comment for the description.

Numerous people have emailed, including myself "The man of many words" and to my knowledge he hasn't returned any response.;|

Same here. I emailed a couple days ago. He's relatively close to me. I asked if I could come out and have a look...no response.

It's a 1974 - NG 4086. He's got pix up now with some description, but boy, is he way off!

several things are not stock ... the bridge, the tuners, the knobs ... and it looks like it was refinished ... other than that it seems ok ...

So...the ad states..."I’VE OWNED THIS BASS FOR 20 YEARS SO I APPRECIATE SERIOUS BIDDERS ONLY." and also...(SORRY FOR THE PREVIOUS, INCORRECT INFORMATION...THIS IS WHAT I HAD BEEN TOLD).

You would think that at some point during the 20 years that this guy has owned his FrankenRick, somebody should have been able to correctly identify its age wouldn't you?

I don't see what the big deal is. 64,74, It's all the same. Mods, no mods, what's the difference. It's a Rickenbacker.

Sorry about the double thread on this one guys..it was taking forever to post the new thread and so I thought I stopped the transmision and re-sent the post ..only to find it posted twice and myself replying to both...anyway, not exactly a mint bass but at least a real seller it seems....I bet he got flooded with emails even before my two threads...dm
