Yes, there's one in there John. You don't see many original examples from this period, that's for sure. I'm trying to recall a genuine JG 4000/1 from this period. Anyone?
There was that '69 that sold on eBay earlier in the year that was at least partially refinished...

No doubt though, with the full width inlays and C/B, JG certainly does appear far better than in the 70's/80's guise...

I'm not too sure there Tony. We'll have to wait for the official word from the man himself.

Here's one certified example where a black bass looks better than a white one!

It sounds great John.

The HS bobbin is a raised edge, 6 to 4 pole Mark Walker conversion wound to vintage specs...and the magnets are

the correct wider profile type. IMO, Mark is at expert level with these conversions. I don't think it could have come out better.

The HS pickup's tone is spot on vintage & authentic sounding...& of course, the original short pole toaster has THAT sound that we all love!

Is there a big difference of tone between long pole toasters and short pole one? I only heard long pole ones to this day...
