Glad you like it Collin. I thought it was worth posting up as I'd never seen this particular image before I came across it this week.collin wrote:Cool photo.

Here's a colour shot which I believe features the same guitar.

Face it Eddie you found this whilst surfing for porn
Re: Donovan and Rose Morris: 50 Years with Rock’s Bottom
Well that would have made for a far more productive search than usual.scotty wrote:Face it Eddie you found this whilst surfing for porn
However, I actually found it in....wait for it....a book! While I was visiting....wait for it...a book shop. Believe it or not, it's still possible to find one of those quaint old fashioned retail outlets here in soggy Oxfordshire (can probably thank all those pesky students wandering around the dreaming spires for keeping them afloat...that is when they're not doing more important things like getting ratted or gorging on kebabs).

Yep, I think he only had the one Rick. Had just enough to buy the guitar... couldn't afford wire cutters for those damn string ends.
Re: Donovan and Rose Morris: 50 Years with Rock’s Bottom
Hey everybody did that in those days. You could stick your cigarette on one of those ends for quick access.collin wrote:k43rover wrote:Glad you like it Collin. I thought it was worth posting up as I'd never seen this particular image before I came across it this week.collin wrote:Cool photo.

Re: Donovan and Rose Morris: 50 Years with Rock’s Bottom

Looks like John's got the hang of it
Re: Donovan and Rose Morris: 50 Years with Rock’s Bottom
Lol so I get it. .didnt they normally just slip in in the E string and the headstock.Yes like the pic of Lennon.
Re: Donovan and Rose Morris: 50 Years with Rock’s Bottom
Yes, that was the alternate technique, but you risked scorching the headstock (as if you cared about that). Either way was a statement.

..filthy and dangerous habit, especially if you slip it into the G string by mistake
