Hey Ted, I've been watching all the posts on the 4002 and thought I'd chime in. I'm the person who ended up winning the auction for the dudebass 4002 on ebay within the last year. The bass was refitted with 4004 humbuckers in place of the "missing" original bifiler pickups. Amazing playing bass, it is much darker sounding than the 4001or 4003. Since I've never heard a stock 4002, I have no comparison to what it might have originally sounded like. What do you think? By the way, thanks to John Hall for all your valued information and presence here.
