Beatles REUNION in '76???

Yeah, in a way, there were all kinds of rumors in the rumor mil back in '76, I remember that they were flying around so bad in New York that Lorne Michaels made a running joke that was an offer to pay the Beatles to reunite and come on to "Satruday Nite Live". They were all supposed to be in New York taking meetings that summer on a reunion of some sort, supposedly Paul John and George joked about seeing the offer and doing it. Only George took them up on it, and I remember he and Lorne walking down the hall and Lorne saying I was only willing to pay the money, the amount was really small, to the entire group. George was saying that he really needed the money and he negociated like 50 bucks, what a funny joke. That was an excellent episode too.

I've heard and read about the SNL episodes and the offer to reunite and everything but THIS actually lists some songs that they recorded...that is what is so intriguing as I've never heard that part of it....

who would be nutty enough to pay a minimum of 75 grand for a blank tape? I want to hear the supposed version at Apple.

Does anyone remember the SNL with McCartney in 93? As Alec Baldwin is walking around tipping the
cast and crew, you see Paul speaking to Lorne. Lorne is explaining that he gave George the money in 76 and that it was for all the Beatles and so he needed to take it up the money issue with George. Then Alec walks in and tips Paul and the band. Good Stuff!

Yeah, sounds like another hoax to me. Kinda like the Elvis tape from the mid eighties.
