Baby Blue

Post by eddied »

Which dealer would most likely have a 4003 Baby Blue in stock for the best price? Why do they seem so hard to find? Musician's Friend and Music 123 don't even list them as a stock color. Any suggestions? My dream bass would be a 4001S Baby Blue Circa@74.
Rick bass fanatic. I own and play several professionally. I have a passion for the S models.

You might want to call Chris at POTR or Mike parks to see if they have one on order. It might be too late to order one now as after this year they are not taking any more orders for one and RIC is probably on holiday vacation until Jan 3 or 4. Maybe if there is still Blue Boy paint at the factory, or decide to hold the color over another year like they did with Montezuma Brown.
JETGLO should officially be renamed JETGLO ROCKS! :-)

The RIC web site say they’re accepting orders through 12/31 so maybe if a dealer faxes one over prior they will accept it (if they’re closed for the year). I’d also bet that a few of the wise dealers have one or two hidden away for when they’re no longer available!

Mike Parks has a couple on order – give him a shout, he’s a good guy if you don’t already know him.

Cheers!

Bass Emporium http://www.bassemporium.com shows one on order, and you might also check with Willie's American Guitars http://www.williesguitars.com , they don't show what's on order but they've had at least a couple of 4003 Blue Boys so they may have more on order.

Although I cant discount Chris Clayton over at "Pick of the Ricks". I've never dealt with the man, but have had a few phone conversations with him, and he seems very easy to deal with.
