Hi all,
This is my first post on the forum, and I'm hoping someone can help me with a pickup question. I have a 1982 Ricky 320 with hi gain PUPs. On stage, I pretty much alternate between the 320 and a Gibson ES-330 (with P90s). I love the 320, but the Gibby is much louder. I already use a clean boost pedal to even out the levels, but that leaves me without a boost for my solos. Would replacing the hi gains with toasters or broilers do the trick? Does anyone here have experience with broilers?
Thanks,
Marc

Re: Pickup Question
I'm not a expert by any means, but the high gains should have some strong output. My buddy had been playing my 4001 and was blown away by the power of the hi gains in it. My first diagnostic would be to confirm what type of DC resistance you are getting from the pups themselves to make sure that is at least in spec.
