Value of a 2010 Rickenbacker 620

Post by speedof1 »

Hi,

I'm in the position to buy a 620 Rickenbacker, fire glow in good condition. The guy asks 1400, but I think that's way to much. What would be a 'normal' price for this guitar?

Welcome! It depends. Where are you located and what is "good" condition specifically? What year is it?

Fireglo, Mapleglo and Jetglo are the common colors. A COY like Blueburst, Desert Gold or Blue Boy is likely worth more due to rarity.

Median average in North America is about $1250 USD. (So more in Canada because of the current poor exchange rate)... In the UK they never sell for less then a 1000 Stirling.

RICS Suggested List price for a 620 is $1829. (Though many dealers will sell them for less if you ask)...

If price is a real issue watch the used market and consider a 610 which go for less...

They are great guitars though - I love my 620s, and first bought one in 1982... :D
