Hello again

Post by gray »

Hello all,
I am back, after a very long absence. Today I am back in the Rickenbacker fold, having purchased a 2013 4004 in Jetglo. It came strung with some sort of light gauge flats. Not sure what kind. Red windings but not TI's. Could be Rotos, don't feel like LaBellas. They sound good. Nice, low action.
Sorry for the lack of pics, but I just wanted to say ahoy there, and it's good to be back. This one is staying with me. I have a Rick again and all is right with the world.

Congrats on your new bass Robert! 8)

And welcome back.
Watch those teeth, Marlin. I'm not sure we've properly sedated the beast . . .

I have NO idea what to do with those skinny stringed things... I'm just a bass player...

Thanks, it's a delight to play. It's been a long time coming, and hopefully it's going to be a long time playing. I had forgotten about just how low one can get the action on one of these things. And that piano-like tone is still there. The 4004 always looked good to me, and now I really see why.
