Scored a used Carl Wilson Ltd. Edition 360/6 FG!

Post by mike_d »

Yesterday,I picked up a well played Carl Wilson Ric 360/6 for $1500 from a local Craigslist ad. No certificate or case, but I couldn't pass it up at that price. I happened to already have an extra Ric vintage case for a 360/12c63, just because that's the kind of guy I am. I think I found the perfect guitar to go along with it. I've been looking for a full scale, 21 fret Ric with toasters recently, so there you go. I only have some crummy photos for now, but will take some better ones this afternoon. I doubt I'll never know what number out of however many of these they made.

Congrats on the great score!

If you send an email to RIC customer service with the SN - they will write you a letter letting you know what number it was in the series.

As you didn't get the Certificate of Authenticity with it - it is the next best thing.

There are 142 of these in the Register of the 500 made. Perhaps you will find yours in there? If not consider adding it to the database.

Nice score, Mike!

I think it was on ebay, too: http://www.ebay.com/itm/2000-Rickenback ... true&rt=nc

Looks like the same guitar.

Yep, that's the same one. I called about it from the craigslist ad, and he said he sold it on eBay the night before and that he hadn't yet been paid and would call the guy. Well, The buyer flaked out and didn't pay due to some reason or another, and they both agreed to cancel the sale. He called me back and a few hours later I brought it home.

Well, I sent an email to Rickenbacker but so far, I have not heard back. I used their web form, so maybe I should try again.
