B.I.N. for $2100...Usual Instrument Exchange madness. Even for a grand I,d want to look closely at the neck for issues. This bass is a player so it needs to be straight in that department.
If someone wants a cool checkerboard bass at present then buy Henny,s 72 Burgandyglo. A little more expensive but far better value for money in every aspect...
If I was going to buy a 73, I would want to make sure it had full width inlays and a split tailpiece. Neither of which this particular bass has. They are out there, but hard to come by.
This bass has a serial number of MF2300 which makes it late June 73, making it a real transition piece. Probably one of the last with checkered binding.
Very nice, (MGxxxx = 73/July) but it doesn't have full width inlays or a split tailpiece. Another 73 transisition bass and the v63 Horseshoe looks great!
Ya just gotta love Fireglo when it transitions from yellow/orange to red.
