40 year itch ...

Back in the early 70s I played a Rickenbacker 360 in a music shop in Bury, Lancashire (UK) and fell in love.
I was a teeenager at the time and the guitar was way out of my league - I ended up buying a Hofner Colorama for £5 from a junk shop, but I've lusted after a 360 ever since.
This christmas I was given some money. A week or so later I spotted a slightly worse for wear 1973 Rickenbacker 360 on ebay ... you can guess the rest.

I have soft spot for guitars (and other things) that show their scars and look like they've been around the block a few times. 1973 was about the time I tried out the Rick' in the music shop. And, for once, I had a bit of money to spend.
