I've had the same Rickenbacker brand nylon tape wound strings on my '92 4003FL FG since 1999. They feel amazing and sound even better.

I usually play on a set until I break a string which is anywhere from 1-5 years. When I finally do switch it's like playing a new bass. It's wonderful.
