Wall Hangers

Post by wmthor »

Presently, my guitars are stored in their cases when not being used. However, I would like to hang them on the wall of my new home office/studio. Does anyone have a recommendation as to a brand of wall hangers that would be the least detrimental to my Rickenbackers?

As far as what 'brand name' of wall hanger, this I cannot provide 'cause all of my stuff lives in its case.. One thing to be aware of though is if the arms on the hanger itself have a rubber sleeve, they may have the potential over time to discolor the finish, especially if it is a light color such as white. There are 'fuzzy' sock-style covers available to keep both surfaces from touching each other--many people buy these for their guitar stands for the same purpose and they work well. Good luck.

A friend of mine special-ordered a few hangers from guitar center that were constructed of wood, but covered in leather where the guitar sits. I can't imagine that the guitar finish would react in any way to leather. Just my 2 (okay, maybe 1 and a half) cents.

There is something similar at the bottom of this page . . . http://www.guitaremporium.com/.
