Self explaining title. Post the latest pics you've taken of your favorite Rickenbacker guitars.
I spent a few hours playing my 620 with some fuzz thrown in (I am a fuzz guy, though this little fuzzface is nowhere near as good and gig worthy as my Fulltone Octafuzz). That was fun.
That is gorgeous! That's my favorite Ric, ever! I don't wanna buy one without playing one first but they never pop up local but I may have to.
If it helps, the 480 fretboards tend to be quite flat compared to other Rick models. And the body is the exact same size as the 4001 body. As for the profile, the neck angles "back" a bit, since the bridge pickup sits on top of the body and the neck pickup is sunk down under the guard.

I have read that, and that's why I figured I should play one first. Ive never had an issue jumping from one scale or type to another so hopefully it'll be fine.

I like the knobs! What year is that guitar?
Thanks, it's a 2016, I just didn't care for the silver inset knobs in it so I got the vintage style ones for it. I also replaced the Schaller tuners. The stock ones had quite a bit of backlash, and Gotoh makes a set with the exact same footprint and screw location. I recently made a pair of gold pickguards for it but I don't love the loom as much as I thought it would so they stayed white, lol.
I have seen quite a few of your projects and I love em. The black 320 bass is gorgeous too.
Hmmm that's a good idea, I don't know why I didn't think of that one. The 480 is already a bolt on neck, it would just be a matter of making a new body. I have considered getting a 620 husk and replacing the wings with 4003 wings. The only thing that worry me is the length difference of the contact point of the wings themselves. The 480 body is definitely longer and I don't like the idea of adding to the length of the neck. I think your idea might be the winner.
