My Back Pages - Video

Post by espidog »

This may be very old news to many of you here, but I've just discovered it and I'm bouncing off the walls!

1992 - a concert to mark the 30th anniversary of Bob Dylan's first album release. Performing the Byrds' version of My Back Pages, we have...

Bob Dylan
Roger McGuinn
Neil Young
Tom Petty
Eric Clapton
George Harrison
Steve Cropper
Duck Dunn

...and those are only the ones I can recognise at first sight. Enjoy!

Thanks for posting that, I had not seen that one. Truly an all-star line-up! 8)

One thing, I would say that it was Dylan's version played Byrds-style, as the original Byrds' recording omitted some of the verses in Dylan's original.

Yes, one of my favourites! :)
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

Well, let's call it a hybrid - they did all the original verses inna Byrds stylee.

Must admit, I teared up when George Harrison took a verse - damn, I do miss him so!
