My serial number has been registered to another bass?

Post by ebur99 »

Hi Rickresource people,

I've just signed up to add my 4003 to the register, and when I entered my serial number I was directed to an existing entry. The bass in this entry is apparently identical to my own (matte black, supposedly same serial number) but is located in Michigan. I live in Australia! I purchased my bass from an authorised dealer with all of the associated documentation and case candy.

Does anyone know what might have gone on here?

Hi Emily,
It's always nice to say Hi to a fellow OZ-person.
There could be all sorts of things happening here; an error in the recorded serial in the register, a parallel import from the US, or a 'B-stock' item returned to RIC and sent out here for sale. Assuming the latter two, you can drop a line to the site admins and ask for this record to go to you for update as required - location, pics etc. If it looks like an error in the recorded serial in the register, again drop a line to the admins for help, I'm sure something can be worked out.

Cheers,
Andrew

Probably just a typo. Find username "admin" here and send a pm.
