Any thoughts on the new non-lacquered fretboards? Is it a big difference in playability, sound, or maintenance?
I'm thinking of ordering a new 620/12 and I won't be able to try one first. I'm wondering how different the fretboard will feel from my 2008 360/12. I'm sure cleaning will be different.

There is an earlier thread on the subject here:

Personally, I don't find any real difference between my 730L (unlacquered fretboard) with any of my other guitars with lacquered fretboards.

I prefer the feel of the unlacquered fingerboard on the 4003SMGCB I bought earlier this year. As far as I'm concerned, RIC can stop coating their basses with polyurethane any time now.
