Hi all.

Does anybody know where I can download Ric wallpaper?

I guess I can always take a shot when I get mine (only a few days to go!!) but hey, call me lazy!!

Thanks and regards.

I have over 1500 images of Bass guitars ... most are shot with my camera and most are Rics and most are jpegs ... but with a simple paint program you can convert them to .bmp files ...

I could send you a CD ...

Sergio Silva or Paul Yan can hook you up with some great Rick art too...

I made up a dozen or so Ric wallpapers last year, including some hi-res close-ups of vintage Rics, and some collages of John Lennon and Susanna Hoffs with their Rics. The pix can also be put together to make a screensaver. If yu're interested I could upload them to my website or email them to you.

Welcome to The Forum, Howard. This may quench your thirst during the wait.Image It's a photo I took of my RIC t-shirts, one black, one white, arranged side by side.

I was bored of my wallpaper...
I was thinking about doing something...
I did this: http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid156/p566daf8b8246d66f5160db0ce8e6f2e6/f546d8db.jpg.orig.jpg
(To view you will most likely have to copy/paste the address in your browser since Imagestation doesn't allow image linking)

I thought I'd share it.

Just to let you know it is not a real painting.
Basicly it's an old picture of my 370's headstock that I cut out of the background. Applied a few simple filters and made a few touch ups myself.

Hope you like it Image

BEAUTIFUL!!!

Lemme guess:

Photoshop with watercolor and colored pencil filters? Or just colored pencil?

You're right on the Photoshop of course...

I had to apply 2 different filters to get the desired effect, a) Accented Edges and b) Angled Strokes.

I got the idea (not that it's out of the ordinary) from a picture a saw on a computer game forum, they guy had a 381V69 in Mapleglo (he also has a Lennon Edition 12-string and a few others), it was a nice shot with the tailpiece...

Paul if I were you I'd try to take a picture of the the tailpiece from your 381V69 so that you are looking towards the bridge. With the Montezuma Brown finish, doing something along the lines of what I did would look great!
I would've done something out of the ordinary as I usually do, but I thought a paiting would look great because RICs are so classic.

OK, Patrick; no good pics on my office computer, but I had this one on the hard drive:Image

I think the tailpiece detail is a great hook. I'll try it soon.
