335 motorboating

Post by Gtrpaul »

Picked up a ‘67 335. Replaced 3 way switch, installed mastery bridge. Needed trem arm so replaced with winfield arm and “comb”. Now I’m hearing something never heard before. A “motorboating” when plugged in…no microphonic squealing, no hum, a rapid “pu-put-put”. Help please! Thanks

That sounds like an amp problem. What are you plugged into?

And welcome to RRF!
