I previously posted this question in the general forum but I am reposting here as it seems a better place to ask. I am trying to figure out how the Hi Gains on my 2011 330 are put together. I have been looking around and have not really found anything that described the construction in full detail.
I have found that there is at least a couple of varieties of Hi Gains depending on the production year and if the pole pieces are adjustable or not.
I have what I believe are adjustable pole pieces and the magnet does not have any through holes when viewed from the bottom:
I finally managed to get one of the Pole Piece screws out (they were tight!) and I found the thread is about 10mm long. I am reluctant to try and strip this down any further so my question is – do the Pole Piece screws screw into threaded holes on the top side of the magnet or do they only screw into the bobbin?
