This is number one (Feb ‘72, pre-skunk).

It’s so weird seeing pics of me now, having lost a third of my body weight (not intentional, I was ill!). Thankfully the bass is the same!

Thanks. It’s pretty dark. I’ve had a couple of people think it’s Autumnglo, but it’s just a fairly dark Fireglo.

On Saturday my band, Cartoon Food, supported Big Country, which was an amazing experience for us. The band and crew were so warm and kind, and Mark Brzezicki, who has played and recorded with a who’s who, said he went out front and watched us and thought we were great! It was a terrific night and thankfully we went down fantastically well. This is my Feb ‘72 Fireglo, with the ‘72 Azure playing backup.

That's awesome!
Love the FG!

Of all the oldies I've had, that's one vintage Rick I'd like to have again, pre-skunk '71-'72.

BTW, I'm glad you're doing well now.

Thanks Kevin. I’m hopefully getting there. Haven’t managed to put the weight back on though! Hope you’re ok.

Yeah, the pre-skunks are my favourites. The skunk seems to add an upper mid content that I typically don’t like quite as much, although my Azure is still an amazing bass.
