Thanks for your post, Geoff, regarding Kingsize Taylor (Edward William Taylor) who rose to fame in Liverpool in the late 1950s with his group Kingsize Taylor and the Dominoes. Born at the beginning of WWII in Liverpool, England on November 12, 1939 he passed away on January 2, 2023. He was a flamboyant and talented singer and guitarist who performed at many Liverpool venues including The Iron Door Club. He traveled back and forth between Liverpool and Hamburg, Germany over the years. In listening to his recordings today, his material was mostly covers of other groups but he added his own unique style and with his brilliant singing voice it is a wonder that he did not have a number of successful recordings on the charts.
