Macca/Superbowl update.....

Post by beatlefan »

Just got this info....

Super Bowl set list?
The Macca Report says Paul McCartney rehearsed "Drive My Car," "Get Back," "Live and Let Die" and "Hey Jude" at his Thursday Super Bowl rehearsal. McCartney still may surprise fans on Sunday with his final set list, the report says. The band is playing live. No lip-synching! No tape delay. Paul will wear a red shirt, black jeans and a black jacket (which he will remove after "Get Back"), the report says. "Live and Let Die" will be loaded with fireworks and special effects.

Thanks for the update Chris.Image Great no lipsynching, now if he would just loose Hey Jude from all future sets that would be great. If I have just one Beatle song I hate, it would be that one.

How can you hate Hey Jude? Even if it is has been played three billion times it's still a great tune.

I like the 8 minute version as opposed to the 18 minute version.....

Just as long as when his black jacket comes off...that's ALL that comes off!

I've never heard the 18 minute version, yes that would get a little tiresome, 15 minutes of Na na na na na na etc.

It would probably help if I could spell correctly.
Chris said what I really meant to say. I hate the long drawn out version, although it is still one of my least favorite, and there isn't many of them.
Buy it before someone else does.

I would probably enjoy it more if the ending wasn't so long also.

Lets hear from the girls, lets hear from the boys. The people on the left, now the people on the right, the people in the middle now everyone all together now!

1.2.3.4 can I have a little more – oh wrong song – but I’d enjoy it much more!

I agree love HJ – but it’s a little over done now! But he can’t not play it!

Well that was a pretty good show.
Proof that McCartney can still rock!

Get Back took the prize for me. A great performance. The pyrotechnics weren't too shabby either.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

Thank you, Paul - a victory for great rock and good taste. Splendid stuff.
