Setting aside any analysis of the design and fabrication, I'd like to comment on the bold approach taken to displaying this, er, guitar. The twisted strap, the loosely flapping 'D' string, the fuzzy black blanket clamped to the spread-eagle cardboard box...these are the kinds of elements that really make the prospective buyer sit up and take notice. And as if all that weren't more than enough, how about that closeup of purpleheart against a lime green background? This guy really knows his color wheel...I think he should quit his day job as a 'guitarsmith' and go right into advertising.

I think there's two guys working in cahoots here... The "Guitarsmith", and his sales manager/staging specialist/copywriter. Note the details in the copy about "23 wires", and other nuggets of the copywriter's expertise.
Anyway, I'm sold and hope the bidding doesn't go over $79.99, as I'm sniping it...

That one is whimsical, but the price is insane.

Whimsical, and pooped out, too.
From the auction heading maybe he thinks the color will sell it.
