PS. I think this in the ultimate Macca set list...
That pic behind Paul of he and George...You gotta believe it was fun being a Beatle!
It's actually kind of sad/bittersweet, knowing what we now know.
That looks like Abbey Road sessions; could this be I Me Mine, the last song they ever recorded together?
Historically, how often have we seen only George and Paul at the same mic?? This was a John/Paul trademark, "singing into each others faces" as Paul put it. Things were so
tense with John at the time that Paul was "afraid" to suggest the two of them sing that way for Come Together. And, in the latter days, John didn't even show for the recording
of George's songs.
But it sure looks like these two were having a very fun moment!

For me there has always been a big difference in reading about the Abbey Road sessions and seeing video of those sessions. Many times what is written paints such a dour picture and it sounds like the sessions were just one painful hatefest of resentment and frustration.
Sure, we all know that the band was in the process of breaking up and there certainly WERE hard feelings at times, but when you see the videos, it's clear that much of the time they were still having a lot of fun.

That's it, never saw it before and think it's a great pic of Paul and George - clearly from the Abbey Road sessions. Must be from Paulie's private stash... Yes, you gotta believe... This pic shows it...

I think your right, Kent. Perhaps the press had a subtle backlash against them as well, for all the years of idolatry.
How I love to get my hands on that poster of George and Pauly.
Are you listening, Paul? Let's see and hear you definitive take on things.
You got pictures.
You know what it's like to be an ordinary bloke and King Of The World.
With three of your best friends.
"Many Years From Now" was very good, but I think he could really tell us some stories!

That's a notion that ALWAYS intrigues me, especially when it comes to Beatles. I want to know about all the fun that was so fun they could never ever speak of it. Then again, those are probably things the spouses don't know about either.

Lennon said as long as they were playing it was all good. I would have loved to have spent some time with these guys.....
